Fill The Bus Las Vegas: Recap

SuperShuttle was thrilled to be a part of this year’s Fill the Bus charity event held in Las Vegas. Partnering with Communities in Schools of Nevada, News 3, Lotus Broadcasting, and Sam’s Club, the SuperShuttle team and the Las Vegas community came together on August 12th & 13th for this unforgettable event. Local news stations, radio promotions and live social media updates were all part of the big day!

Fill the Bus is an annual charity event that helps children get the school supplies they need for the upcoming school year. The event collects needed school supplies and uniforms to distribute to more than 58,000 students in 55 schools throughout the state of Nevada. Backpacks, pencils, paper, notebooks, markers… you name it, it was there!

SuperShuttle provided four large buses for the event along with volunteers from the Las Vegas SuperShuttle team. Communities in Schools of Nevada, Hooters Casino, Amerigroup, KOMP 92.3 and SuperShuttle were all participants in helping pack up the school supplies and filling those buses.

Last year, the event filled 5 buses, but this year that number nearly doubled to 8 buses! This wouldn’t have been possible without the gracious donations from various Las Vegas organizations and community residents.

“I am so very proud that SuperShuttle Las Vegas was given the opportunity to partner with Communities Schools of Nevada in promoting and supporting this special charitable event,” said General Manager of SuperShuttle Las Vegas, Trevor Halleran. “I am thankful for the drivers, managers, and support staff that allowed us to provide vehicles to transport the collected school supplies while assisting with the loading of the record-setting amount of donations”.

The SuperShuttle team cannot wait until next year’s Fill the Bus, we will be out there again helping with this wonderful cause!
