National Travel & Tourism Week

National Travel and Tourism Week

How would you define travel? Some say it is an “escape” or time at home with family, taking that dream vacation that you’ve been saving for, or simply booking a staycation for some rest and relaxation. No matter what your definition, at SuperShuttle we understand the importance of travel and time away from everyday life. So mark your calendars, because this year we will be celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week May 5th through May 11th.

“Travel Matters”

Every year, the U.S. Travel Association proudly celebrates travel and tourism by bringing awareness through a week of celebration. This year marks the 36th year of recognition, centered around the theme, “Travel Matters,” a campaign that is aimed at recognizing the numerous ways in which travel enriches our lives and adds strength to communities. This year, U.S. Travel Association will reveal daily topics that highlight examples of why travel matters to America. Learn more here.

Travel and Tourism Education

The travel community is huge and provides educational insights to those who work in the travel and tourism industry. “Travel and tourism professionals from across the nation work throughout the week to promote the impactful contributions their travel markets and organizations make to the U.S. economy.” We never really think about how much travel can impact others’ lives. So this week, sit back and relax but also be aware of how important travel is, not only for our well-being but also for others!
