Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport Construction Update

March 19th, 2019

construction at Minneapolis-St. Paul airport

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport kicked off project ‘Reimagine MSP’ in 2016 to address the growth in travelers, expand dining options, and offer hospitality options right on site. With over two years of the project complete, MSP is reporting on notable differences across dining, shopping, ticketing & baggage claim areas, hotel amenities, and parking & roadways.

What does this mean for travelers?

In 2019, the Reimagine project is said to be focused on their outbound roadway and new parking ramp in Terminal 1, which may impact traffic coming in and out of the terminal as well as pick up and drop off locations in the transportation centers.

Construction may affect the overall flow of traffic and congest certain terminals due to road closures and rerouting lanes. Ongoing temporary lane closures are reported to occur primarily overnight, but may impact activity. Signs will help travelers navigate through the construction, but expect to see an influx in people in certain confined areas.

Why is SuperShuttle updating me on this?
