Upon arrival, follow signs to the baggage claim area and collect your luggage. Proceed to one of the two SuperShuttle ticket counters located on the lower level baggage claim area; near door #2 (Southwest Airlines Terminal – Concourse A) or near door #9 (Concourse C). The ticket counters are open between the hours of

Baltimore/Washington Airport (BWI) Information

BWI Airport was opened in 1950 by President Harry Truman and was originally named Friendship Airport. The airport was renamed to Baltimore/Washington Airport in 1973 and then renamed again in 2005 to Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall to honor the former US Supreme

Court justice who grew up in Baltimore. BWI serves over 20 million passengers each year, making it the country’s 24th busiest airport, and has a total of five concourses. Concourses A and B were recently merged into one and currently operates Southwest Airlines flights, Concourse C operates Delta, Northwest and American Airlines, Concourse D operates AirTran Airways, Continental, JetBlue, and US Airways and Concourse E is the International Terminal and holds Air Canada, Air Jamaica, British Airways, and USA 3000 Airlines.
