After you claim your luggage at BWI, please proceed to one of the two BWI Shuttle ticket counters - both located on the lower level baggage claim area at BWI airport. One BWI shuttle ticket counter is near baggage claim #1 (Southwest Airlines Terminal – Concourse A) and the other BWI shuttle Ticket counter is near baggage claim #10 (Concourse C). The BWI Shuttle ticket counters are open between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 AM. When counters are closed, please call (800) 258-3826 for information or to arrange service.

Baltimore/Washington Airport (BWI) Information

BWI Airport was opened in 1950 by President Harry Truman and was originally named Friendship Airport. The airport was renamed to Baltimore/Washington Airport in 1973 and then renamed again in 2005 to Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall to honor the former US Supreme

Court justice who grew up in Baltimore. BWI serves over 20 million passengers each year, making it the country’s 24th busiest airport, and has a total of five concourses. Concourses A and B were recently merged into one and currently operates Southwest Airlines flights, Concourse C operates Delta, Northwest and American Airlines, Concourse D operates AirTran Airways, Continental, JetBlue, and US Airways and Concourse E is the International Terminal and holds Air Canada, Air Jamaica, British Airways, and USA 3000 Airlines.
