How to Get to SuperShuttle When You Land

Baltimore/Washington Area Shuttle Service from BWI Airport
After you claim your luggage, please proceed to one of the two ticket counters - both located on the lower level baggage claim area. One is near baggage claim #1 (Southwest Airlines Terminal – Concourse A) and the other is near baggage claim #10 (Concourse C). They are open between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 AM. When counters are closed, please call (888) 826-2700 for information or to arrange service.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) Information

Baltimore/Washington International Airport was opened in 1950 by President Harry Truman and was originally named Friendship International Airport. The airport was renamed to Baltimore/Washington International Airport in 1973 and then renamed again in 2005 to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall to honor the former US Supreme Court justice who grew up in Baltimore. BWI serves over 20 million passengers each year, making it the country’s 24th busiest airport, and has a total of five concourses. Concourses A and B were recently merged into one and currently operates Southwest Airlines flights, Concourse C operates Delta, Northwest and American Airlines, Concourse D operates AirTran Airways, Continental, JetBlue, and US Airways and Concourse E is the International Terminal and holds Air Canada, Air Jamaica, British Airways, and USA 3000 Airlines.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport features a welcome center with Pathfinder volunteers to assist visitors and military personnel and a variety of shopping and dining options. In 2008, Health Magazine voted BWI the nation’s second healthiest airport based on the airport’s security checkpoints, the BWI trail and the availability of massage services at the Destination Relaxation concession.
