Why Do I Need to Prepay?

Woman Prepaying OnlineA lot of customers have inquired recently about our prepayment requirements so we wanted to address it here. Both phone- and web-based reservations for our services do require prepayment, via credit card or direct bill account. Here’s why:

Prepayment Makes Things Easier

Prepayment has become the industry standard for travel-related reservations because it simplifies the booking process for all parties. For SuperShuttle, prepayment is a much more convenient way for our guests to use our service. Once you arrive at your destination, you simply sign for the ride instead of waiting for change or credit card approval.

Prepayment also allows us to boost efficiency of our service. It makes it easier for our operators to load and unload passengers, reducing total ride time. It also helps us to best manage availability, reduce no-shows and fraudulent reservations, and keeps costs down, all of which allows us to better serve you!

Just like most major airlines, if you change your mind in enough time before your reservation, you can cancel for a refund of your fare.

Why We Love Prepayment (and bet that you do, too!)

Here at SuperShuttle, we appreciate prepayment options in our own lives. For example, online purchase options have made both researching, and reserving, airport and hotel stays infinitely easier for everyone – including our staff. We use prepayment in a lot of other ways – too many to count – so rather than have us go on and on, we’d like to hear some of yours.

What services do you enjoy prepayment on? Are there any services you wish you could prepay for?

I am planning on departing from home to Houston intercontinental airport my ZP code is 77095, flight departs at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 15 2013. At what time should I expect a multi passenger ban to pick me up. I know that it depends on the rout and number of stops, but would the ban pick me up with enough time to arrive with enough time to checking without rushing, in other words how much cushion do the drivers have? Thanks.

Good question, Joe. Generally speaking, our van pick-up time recommendations are based on the airport's recommended check-in times. The reservation system automatically provides ample cushion time within its recommended times. For your specific ride, we'd recommend 6:15am - 6:30am for domestic and 5:40am - 5:55am for international (to get through customs). If you'd prefer more cushion time, feel free to request it while booking.

I am arranging for the Super Shuttle to take us from SMF to a private residence. What if our flight to Sacramento is delayed or cancelled? What happens to my Super Shuttle reservation?

Marcia: If you're facing delays or cancellations, please contact our customer care team as soon as you can at 1-800 BLUE VAN (258-3826). Minor delays can easily be accommodated since the vans are assigned upon your arrival. Our cancellation policy requires 4 hours notice, prior to scheduled pickup, so a flight cancellation could incur fees.

Hi, I wanted to know if you have cancellation fees like other shuttle companies? Not like I intend to cancel but just in case. Thanks

Hubert: That's a good question. We do not have a cancellation fee as long as it's cancelled more than four hours prior to the scheduled pickup time. Within four hours, there are no refunds. You can learn more here.

If I book a shared ride and make a reservation for myself, will there be a delay to wait for others?

Hi Debbie! Just saw your Facebook post. In most cases, there will be a brief wait while your ride is grouped since van assignments are made when you check in after landing. If it's a busy time of day or airport, pickups happen very rapidly. You can inquire on wait times with the customer service rep or ticket booth agent when you check-in as they will be able to provide a more accurate estimate. Hope that helps!

Hi, I plan to take your shuttle from LAX airport to the Camelot Inn in Anaheim in Sept. I see that if I reserve my ticket and prepay you ask for my flight arrival time. I'm wondering what happens if my flight gets delayed. Do I need to contact you or will you be able to accomodate me regardless of the time I arrive. Thanks!

Ann: Good question. For LAX, vans are assigned upon arrival, so it's okay if your flight arrives a bit late. We will still honor the reservation.

Do you have booking facilities that allow you to pay for transfers in GBP rather than in Dollar? Thanks

That's a very good question, Gaylynn. Except for the Meet & Greet Sedan service - where the sedan driver meets you right inside baggage claim - our staff isn't available to assist customers prior to their arrival at the ticket counter, and some airports we serve do not have ticket counters or staff onsite. With all that stuff to handle, my best recommendation is to contact the airline and/or the airport to see what kind of assistance they have available. Usually, inside the baggage claim, there is staff to answer questions and help pull bags off the carousel. There are also usually large carts to help you load up if you have a large number of items.

I would like to know how much would it cost, for one passenger, to take a suttle from Dulles Airport in Washington to 4506, Amherst Road, College Park, Calvert Hills. Thank you,

Here are your rate options: Shared Ride Service: $41 for the first person; $10 for each additional person on your stop; round-trip Shared Ride fare is $81 // Exclusive Van Service, up to 10 passengers per van: $127 (Extra stops are an additional fee.) // ExecuCar Sedan Meet and Greet Service: $161.
